Why do I have to provide a budget? Isn't the travel agent going to try to max it out?

A budget, together with information about your past travels gives me important information about the type of trip you are looking for.

Somebody who is looking for a luxury vacation would be disappointed, if I provided a low budget hotel option and vice versa.

This doesn't mean that I won't look for the best deal within the correct category.
Can't I just get a quote and then book myself?

Booking with a travel agent is much more than finding a vacation for a great deal. When you work with an agent, you get an advocate on your site.
